1979 - THE BEGINNING

  The real humble beginning.  Two Wheel was conceived in the mind of Wayne Rayner in 1979 while riding a BMW500 motorcycle down a freeway, without a care in the world, buddies at his side.  Wayne and friends were halfway between Barberton Ohio and Fort Erie Ontario, on the return leg of a trip to Ohio chasing down motorcycle accessories, which were almost impossible to find in Ontario, at the time.  A light went on in Wayne's head on that ride. He reasoned that, satisfying as it was to ride to Ohio to shop, others would probably prefer a bit more convenience when shopping for bike bits.  A month later, Two Wheel Accessories was open for business in Wayne's basement on Eramosa Road in Guelph. After a short time the business was purchased and moved to its current location by Colin Gibb and his father. A few years later Colin's father decided to get out of the motorcycle business in the Guelph area. It was 1988 that the Christensen brothers were looking at purchasing the shop tools and assets for another shop when they had a change of plans and took over the Kawasaki dealership from the Gibbs family. Suzuki was added to the lineup in 1990 as well as Honda in 1991. Skidoo came on board shortly after making the dealership a multiline OEM facility for sales, service and parts 12 months of the year.

Today, Two Wheel Motorsport is a beehive of activity occupying 15,000 square feet and employing 21 full time and 4 part time individuals. With complete OEM lineups from Kawasaki, Suzuki, Can-Am, Skidoo, Spyder, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Argo, and Triton.
